Effective date: September 30, 2026

- Help: reply HELP, call (704) 275-2002, or email championwindowtinting@gmail.com.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
2. Services Covered
These Terms cover all services we offer, including automotive window tinting, residential and commercial window film, ceramic coatings (paint, glass and trim), paint protection film (PPF), hybrid coating and film products, and auto detailing. Specific products, coverage and pricing for your job are listed on your quote, work order or invoice. If your work order conflicts with these Terms, the work order controls for that job.
3. Quotes & Pricing
- Quotes are based on the vehicle, property and details you provide. If the job turns out to be different (for example, a different model year, trim, glass configuration or square footage), we will tell you about any price change before starting work.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Removal of old aftermarket film, adhesive residue, heavy contamination, or paint correction is not included unless listed on your quote. We will get your approval before adding any charge.
- Prices on our website are starting prices or estimates and may change. Your written quote or invoice is the final price.
- Applicable North Carolina sales tax is added to your total.
4. Deposits & Cancellations
- Deposit: A deposit of 10% of the service total reserves your appointment. It is applied toward your final total and is not an extra charge.
- 24 hours' notice or more: If you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment, your deposit is refunded.
- Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: Your deposit is forfeited.
- Late arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule. A rescheduled late arrival is treated as a late cancellation.
- If we cancel: If we must cancel or reschedule because of weather, product availability, illness or other circumstances, your deposit is moved to your new date or refunded in full, your choice.
- Time estimates are good-faith estimates and can vary with vehicle condition, product selected, and curing requirements.
5. Drop-Off & Pickup
- Condition: Please bring your vehicle reasonably clean. Vehicles needing extra washing or decontamination before coating or PPF may be charged a prep fee, which we confirm with you first.
- Personal items: Remove valuables before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
- Pre-existing conditions: We inspect vehicles at drop-off. Chips, scratches, dents, failing clear coat, repainted panels, damaged glass or defroster lines, and non-working windows or electronics are pre-existing conditions we are not responsible for.
- Authorization: You authorize our staff to move and operate your vehicle, including windows, doors and electronics, as needed to perform the work.
- Pickup: We will notify you when your vehicle is ready. Vehicles left more than 2 business days after notice may be subject to storage fees, which we will tell you about in advance, and are stored at the owner's risk.
6. Payment
- The remaining balance is due in full when work is complete, before the vehicle is released or before we leave your home or business.
- Accepted payment methods are shown on your invoice and at checkout.
- As permitted by North Carolina law, we may hold a vehicle until charges for work performed on it are paid.
- Warranty coverage begins after payment in full.
7. Window Tint Laws
North Carolina limits how dark window tint can be (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 20-127). In general, windows on passenger cars must allow at least 35% of visible light through; on SUVs, trucks and vans the front side windows must meet that limit; and windshield tint is limited to the area above the AS-1 line or the top 5 inches. Laws change, and other states differ.
- We will advise you on legal shade options, but you choose the film and shade and are responsible for keeping your vehicle compliant in North Carolina and any state where it is registered or driven.
- If you request a shade darker than the legal limit, you must sign a written acknowledgment before installation and you accept all responsibility for any citations, failed inspections, fines, or removal costs.
- If you hold a medical exception permit, please bring it to your appointment.
- Removing tint you later find non-compliant or no longer want is a separate, paid service.
8. Product Limits & Aftercare
Window Tint
- New film may look hazy or show small water pockets while it cures. This is normal and clears within days to several weeks depending on film and weather.
- Do not roll down windows for 3–5 days after installation, and follow the aftercare instructions we give you.
- Factory features such as dot-matrix borders, heating elements, antennas and sensor areas can limit how film lays in those areas. Small edge gaps are normal.
- Old or damaged rear defroster lines can be affected by film installation or removal.
Ceramic Coatings
- Coatings resist chemicals, UV and contamination and make washing easier, but are not scratch-proof, chip-proof, or maintenance-free.
- Do not wash the vehicle or expose it to harsh chemicals for 7 days after application.
Paint Protection Film & Hybrid Products
- PPF reduces damage from rock chips and light abrasion but cannot prevent all damage. Edges and seams may be visible up close.
- Repainted or poorly bonded paint may lift when film is applied or removed. We are not responsible for paint that was not factory-original or was already failing.
9. Warranties
- Manufacturer warranties: Most films and coatings we install carry a manufacturer's warranty. Coverage, length and transferability are set by the manufacturer and provided with your paperwork.
- Installation warranty: Our workmanship warranty and its length are stated on your invoice. If a covered workmanship defect appears, contact us and we will inspect and repair or reapply the affected area at no charge.
- Not covered: accidents, vandalism, improper cleaning or aftercare, abrasive tools or chemicals, window regulator or seal failures, normal wear, glass replacement, pre-existing conditions, or work by another shop.
- Warranty claims require your invoice. Our installation warranty applies to the original purchaser unless stated otherwise in writing.
- Except as stated above, services are provided without other warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Home & Commercial Work
- You confirm you own the property or are authorized to approve the work, including any landlord, HOA or building-management approval.
- Please provide clear access to windows, move furniture and window treatments, and secure pets.
- Some glass types carry a risk of thermal stress. We recommend film suited to your glass; any glass-breakage warranty is provided by the film manufacturer under its terms.
- Existing glass defects, failed seals and scratches are pre-existing conditions.
11. Damage & Liability
- Please inspect your vehicle or property at pickup or completion and report any concern before you leave or within 24 hours.
- If damage is caused by our negligence, we will, at our option, repair it, redo the work, or refund what you paid for the affected service.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as rental cars, lost time or lost income.
- Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived under North Carolina law.
12. Photos & Marketing
We may photograph or video your vehicle or project to document its condition and to show our work online. We do not publish license plates, VINs, addresses, or your name without permission. Tell us at booking or drop-off to opt out.
13. Website Use
- Content on this website belongs to Champion Window Tinting or its licensors and may not be reused without permission.
- Website information is general and may not be complete or current, including pricing and tint-law information.
- Links to third-party sites, such as booking, payment, review and social platforms, are governed by those sites' own terms.
- How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Disputes & Governing Law
Please contact us first with any concern. These Terms are governed by North Carolina law. Any legal action related to these Terms or our services will be brought in the state courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, including small claims court where eligible. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
15. Changes & Contact
We may update these Terms. The version posted here, with its effective date, applies to services booked on or after that date.
